Community
Events that bring blue light workers together, and an online community that makes it normal to talk about suicide and how the job is affecting you.
Every week, people across the emergency services carry the job quietly. Your support helps us be there earlier: in the conversation that does not happen, the change in behaviour that goes unnoticed, the moment someone chooses not to speak.
This page is about financial support. For fundraising, volunteering, carrying our name at an event, or working with us as a service or a business, start at Get involved.
Too often, support engages at crisis point, if at all. We want it to reach people sooner, and that takes people, training and time.
We are early stage and honest about it. Donations are what turn intentions into things that happen: a trained colleague who knows what to say, an event where someone feels part of something, a network that is still there on an ordinary Tuesday.

Training people across the services to recognise the signs, have the conversation and link colleagues to support. Our first suicide prevention and Mental Health First Aid course trained 32 emergency service workers.

Building the foundations of the LifeLine Crew, our volunteer-led network, and working with services that want to do better.
Every donation is spent on supporting frontline emergency services workers: the training, events and networks that reach people before breaking point.

There is plenty else that helps, and some of it matters as much as money. Fundraising, volunteering, wearing our name at an event, sharing a post, or working with us as a service or a business.
Silence Between Sirens is not a crisis service. These lines are free and there for you now.
